Haydn Glick

Lead Fire Safety and Health and Safety Instructor
I have been with First Aid Safety for 4 years, but my health and safety journey started much earlier in 2002. I saw firsthand how vital proper training is in preventing accidents and keeping teams safe. Being able to share that knowledge and help others feel prepared has been the most rewarding part of my career.

With over 23 years of experience, I deliver a wide range of health and safety training and consultancy services, specialising in Fire Safety, General Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Work-Related Stress. My focus is always on making safety practical, accessible and engaging for learners.

The best part of my role is making a practical difference. Helping people understand health and safety, and giving them the tools to protect themselves and others, is incredibly fulfilling.

One memorable experience was during a fire marshal course. Learners were initially hesitant to use CO2 fire extinguishers (yes, they do make a loud noise!), but by the end of the course, they were confident and working together to help each other learn. Moments like that make the work truly satisfying.

I hope every learner leaves my courses with practical skills and the confidence to use them when it counts - making a real difference in keeping people safe, whether at work or in everyday life.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new places and catching up on films or music. I find it’s a great way to unwind and recharge from the daily demands of my working life.
