You’ll participate in a mental health conversation, demonstrating skills such as active listening, asking open-ended questions, and signposting individuals to relevant resources.
Pass mark: 100%. Duration: As required
Written Exam
Each candidate is assessed by completing a short answer multiple-choice question paper.
Pass mark: 70% (28/40).

Yes, the course meets Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations, and ensures your workplace is compliant with HSE guidance on mental health at work, which states that employers must promote open conversations about mental health. This advanced Level 3 course aims to equip your management team with the confidence to support employees experiencing mental health issues.
The Level 3 Mental Health at Work certification lasts for three years. It is recommended to keep your mental health knowledge up to date by attending an annual refresher session or completing a CPD session online.
It is strongly recommended that learners have prior mental health knowledge or are in a supervisory or managerial post to attend this advanced Level 3 course.
Please inform us of any specific learning needs in advance to ensure that necessary reasonable arrangements can be made for the learners. The Equality Act 2010 requires training centres to make reasonable adjustments where a person with learning difficulties could potentially be disadvantaged in undertaking an assessment. As a training centre, we are committed to inclusivity.
Not in all cases. The entry-level courses, such as the Level 1 and Level 2 courses, are designed to be accessible for everyone. We guide participants through the material in a way that’s clear, practical, and supportive, ensuring no one feels overwhelmed. The Level 3 course, however, can be challenging and is specifically aimed at supervisors, managers and team leaders.
Learners must be at least 16 years old. Learners should have a good command of English to understand the course content and ideally have some prior knowledge of mental health conditions. Due to the testing nature of the content, the course is aimed at supervisors or managers.
This Level 3 Mental Health at Work course, and all our other training courses, are delivered exclusively in-house at your premises. Public or open-enrolment sessions will be available in the future. Training can be scheduled at a time and location that suits your team, allowing staff to learn together in a familiar environment.
