It’s important to have a wide range of individuals who represent the diversity of your organisation who can commit to the time required and have support from their manager to fulfil the role once trained.

A wallet-sized reference card with the Mental Health First Aid action plan 
A digital MHFAider® certificate 
Access to the MHFAider Support App for three years 
Access to learning opportunities, resources and exclusive events 
The opportunity to be part of the largest MHFAider® community in England 
 
The course facilitates up to 16 people, so the instructor can keep everyone safe and supported as they learn. 
 
The course is structured as four sessions for both online and face-to-face delivery. These can either be delivered over two or four days. We encourage all four sessions to be delivered within two weeks. 
 
– Learners will be trained through live sessions with an MHFA England Associate Instructor, covering 14 hours in total. 
– Learners must attend each live session to be certified as a Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider®) 
– Learning takes place through a mix of instructor-led training, group discussions, and individual and group activities. 
 
The course can be delivered in person, at your offices or venue of choice, or online. 
 
Each learner will receive access to the MHFAider Support App 7 – 10 days prior to the course. After the course, each learner will receive an email one month after completion. This will give them access to the full range of benefits and support on offer.
