In particular, the guidance on mental health at work states that employers must promote open conversations about mental health, and investing in mental health awareness training is considered the best starting point to foster across any organisation.
The Level 1 Mental Health Awareness certification is valid for 3 years. It’s recommended that businesses provide regular refresher courses to keep employees up-to-date with the latest practices.
No prior experience is required. This course is designed for individuals at all levels, whether you're new to mental health awareness or looking to refresh your understanding.
Reasonable adjustments can be made for learners with specific needs. The Equality Act 2010 requires training centres to make reasonable adjustments where a person with learning difficulties could potentially be disadvantaged in undertaking an assessment. Please inform us in advance to ensure necessary arrangements can be made.
Learners must be at least 16 years old. No previous mental health experience is necessary, but learners should have a sufficient command of English to understand the course content.
This Level 1 Mental Health Awareness course, and all our other training courses, are delivered exclusively in-house at your organisation’s premises. Public or open-enrolment sessions will be available in the future. Training can be scheduled at a time and location that suits your team, allowing staff to learn together in a familiar environment.
