Terms & Conditions  
 
1. Course bookings 
 
Bookings can be made by email, via the First Aid Safety website or by telephone. Individual customers are required to make payment at time of booking via a credit or debit card. Purchase order numbers need to be quoted where applicable. 
 
2. Payment 
 
Payment for the course/s is taken at booking unless otherwise stated. If a payment by invoice has been agreed, the payment needs to be made 30 days from the date of invoice or prior to the course start date, whichever comes first. This only applies to customers who have a credit account setup with First Aid Safety. Payments are accepted by credit, debit card or BACS. 
 
3. Overdue accounts 
 
First Aid Safety reserves the right to charge interest on overdue accounts if payment is not received within our agreed credit terms from the date the account became due until payment is settled. Where necessary any court fees or collections charges through a third party will also be payable by the client to First Aid Safety. 
 
4. Course prices 
 
All course prices are correct at the time of it being published and may be subject to change without notice or consultation. In such cases we reserve the right to charge the fee applicable at the time we receive a booking request. 
 
5. Course cancellations 
 
More than 4 weeks before the training course is due to commence: 
 
Full refund of booking fee 
 
Between 2-4 weeks before the training course is due to commence: 
 
50% of booking fee will be incured 
 
Less than 2 weeks before the training course is due to commence: 
 
Full booking fee is incured 
 
Cancellation requests must be made in writing and acknowledged by First Aid Safety by the due date. 
 
6. Transfers 
 
More than 4 weeks before the training course is due to commence: 
 
First transfer at no charge 
Subsequent transfer will incur a 25% of amount charged 
 
Between 2-4 weeks before the training course is due to commence: 
 
25% of booking fee will be incured as a transfer fee 
 
Less than 2 weeks before the training course is due to commence: 
 
50% of booking fee will be incured as a transfer fee 
 
Transfer requests must be made in writing and acknowledged by First Aid Safety by the due date. 
 
6. Room hire cancellations 
 
a) Cancellation 4 weeks and prior before first date of booking – No charge 
b) Cancellation within 4 weeks before the first date of the booking – Full Charge 
c) Please note cancellation has to be put in writing by the client, and then confirmed by First Aid Safety in writing, within the cancellation period. 
 
7. Late arrivals or non-attendance 
 
First Aid Safety reserves the right to refuse entry to delegates who miss a session or arrive late for a course. Full fee will be incurred in all such cases. The full cost of the course will be charged for delegates who fail to attend or show up to the course. Delegates must adhere to the course timings stipulated within the joining instructions. 
 
8. Candidate fitness 
 
Candidates attending our courses must be free from any condition or injury that would hinder their capability to participate in the practical elements of the course. Employers are responsible for selecting suitable candidates to become first aiders in the workplace. 
 
9. Certificates 
 
Delegates must attend and complete all sessions of the course to qualify for certification. We reserve the right to withhold certificates until full payment has been settled. Requests for copy certificates must be made in writing and are subject to an administration charge of £20.00 plus vat per certificate plus postage. 
 
10. Refresher courses 
 
Delegates attending the two-day First Aid at Work Refresher course must present a valid First aid at work certificate issued by a HSE or an Ofqual approved awarding body. Delegates whose certificates have expired will not be accepted onto the course. In this instance the full course fee will still be charged. 
 
11. In-house training courses 
 
First Aid Safety reserves the right to cancel a course and recover the full cost of the course where rooms are deemed unsuitable for training. The venue chosen by the client must be suitable and adequate to meet the required standards by the HSE. The requirements of the training room will be discussed with the client prior to course booking. 
 
12. Force majeure 
 
First Aid Safety cannot accept responsibility for unforeseen circumstances beyond our control that may require us to cancel or reschedule a course. Every effort will be made to give the customer as much notice as possible and offer a reasonable alternative. 
 
13. Personal property 
 
First Aid Safety does not accept responsibility for the loss of personal property belonging to the delegates while attending any of our courses. 
 
14. Right of admission 
 
First Aid Safety provides a safe environment for all our employees and learners. We are committed to maintaining a high standard of health, safety and welfare and everyone has a responsibility to behave safely and not to do things that put themselves and other people at risk. Therefore, we reserve the right to refuse access to any individual or groups of individuals found to be behaving in an inappropriate manner, or contravening our health, safety and welfare policies. 
 
15. Complaints procedure 
 
On a rare occasion an issue may arise that can be easily resolved. We recognise that there may be times when you feel that our services have not met your expectations and wish to raise this as a formal complaint.
