This short course is specifically designed for healthcare professionals working in general practice or dental surgeries who are expected to be proficient in resuscitating unconscious patients or learners interested in undertaking this for personal development and to acquire CPR skills and knowledge.
Course Syllabus
Unit 1 – Basic Life Support for Adults and Children
Support a casualty who is unresponsive and breathing
Support a casualty who is unresponsive and not breathing normally
Administer first aid to a choking casualty
Assessment Method
The assessment methods for this qualification are:-
Practical demonstration
The practical assessment of the learners is conducted throughout the course. On-going assessment will involve learners demonstrating practical first aid skills across a number of areas.
